When I print labels within ACT, I choose Avery Template 5160. However, the addresses dont align properly when printed out! The first line of the contact name gets cut off the label as I go down the page of address labels. The addresses don't align properly to the size label I have. I didnt change anything on the template, but used one right from the template list.Is there something else I should do? I can't see why I would have to modify a pre-existing template. Can anyone suggest what to do?

It's as if I just need a blank line above the contact names. Hi, Thanks for your reply.

I am using genuine Avery Brand labels; product 5160. When I use a template from Avery's website with Word 2003, hp printers, all the addresses are centered perfectly! However, when I use ACT's template for Avery's labels (5160-5260-5560) with a hp 6122 printer, the names are cut off by the end of the label sheet. When I use ACT and a HP 5650, the same result with slightly less of the letters getting cut off. It's as if the addresses are not centered, or have no top margin. I wouldn't expect to need to edit the preloaded templates in ACT. When I go to print, and view the edit page, the Avery properties are there.

I dont think I ever changed the margins but the labels are definately not centered when I print them. I am wondering if I changed them in error at some point? Would anyone be so kind to look in the ACT print labels section for Avery 5160 under edit (report Designer) to see the properties match what I have below? Thank you very much. Michele Zarrillo Disco Grafia De Jose Jose. Most of the properties you listed relate to horizontal placement. The most important one related to vertical placement you didn't list which is top margin which should be 0.5 inches.

The other critical property is the actual label height. To find that, click on the bar name Detail and check the height in the properties panel, that should be 1.0 inches. If those two check and you still have problems, the trouble has to be with the printer driver or the feed mechanism of the printer. I ran a sheet of labels on my system with the default 5160 label and the sheet printed correct without the problem you describe.

As a workaround if the height values check out, try increasing the top margin to 0.55 inches and the label height to 1.01 inches.

Every earlier version of Word had a list of Avery labels to choose from under Mailings. I can't find any 5160 labels under Mailings/Labels inn Word 2010 Where is it?

Mailings>Envelopes and Labels>Labels tab>Options then selectPage printers and Avery US Letter from the Label vendors drop down and you will find 5160 Easy Peel Address Labels about half way down the list of labels in the Product number List Box.
